Especially during World War II, when Henri’s health declined. Despite facing personal health challenges and the turmoil of the war, Marguerite’s resilience was pivotal in preserving and promoting her father’s legacy. Her involvement extended to collaborating with art dealers and institutions, ensuring the dissemination and appreciation of Henri Matisse’s work worldwide.
